The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular style is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause scratches.

But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
